This one feels pretty surreal.

camoglam beauty inc.® was featured in Sense N' Style Magazine, sharing my story, my work in scar and stretch mark camouflage, and the business I’ve built here in Sacramento.

Seeing my work in an actual print magazine was definitely one of those how did we get here?moments.

Eight years ago, I was working full-time as an RN at a hospital. I’m still an RN today, but somewhere along the way, a personal insecurity completely changed the direction of my life — and eventually became camoglam beauty inc.®.

The Story Behind camoglam beauty inc.®

I didn’t get into scar camouflage because I was looking for a new business idea.

I found it because I needed it myself.

After my tummy tuck, I was left with a scar that I was extremely insecure about. I spent years trying different treatments and looking for something that would actually make a difference.

Eventually, I discovered scar camouflage.

At the time, I couldn’t find anyone offering what I was looking for in Sacramento, so I traveled to Los Angeles to train in paramedical tattooing.

I originally went into it because of my own scar.

I had no idea it would turn into this.

I brought scar and stretch mark camouflage back to Sacramento, started working with clients, and eventually built camoglam beauty inc.® around a service that was still relatively unknown to so many people.

Over the years, I’ve worked with women and men with tummy tuck scars, surgical scars, burn scars, stretch marks, and scars they’ve lived with for years.

And every time someone tells me,“I didn’t even know this existed,” I’m reminded of exactly how I felt when I first discovered it myself.

Having that story featured in Sense N' Style Magazine means a lot to me because camoglam beauty inc.® didn’t happen overnight.

There were years between being the person searching for a solution for my own scar and becoming the person other people now come to for theirs.

There was nursing. Training. Clients. Learning scar tissue. Learning color. Building a business. Building a brand. And eventually teaching other artists what I’ve learned along the way.

So seeing all of that represented in print was a pretty special moment.

From camoglam beauty inc.® to camoglam academy®

As the client side of camoglam beauty inc.® grew, something else started happening.

Artists began reaching out to me wanting to learn scar and stretch mark camouflage.

That eventually became camoglam academy®.

Today, I get to work directly with clients while also training other artists in the techniques I’ve built my business around — from color matching and scar assessment to working with stretch marks and understanding when someone isn’t a candidate for camouflage.

It’s been really cool watching something that started because of my own tummy tuck scar turn into a business that now reaches far beyond just me.

Bringing Scar & Stretch Mark Camouflage to Sacramento

One of the things I’m most proud of is helping bring more awareness to scar and stretch mark camouflage in Sacramento and Northern California.

When I first started looking for this service myself, I had to leave Sacramento to find it.

Now people searching for scar camouflage in Sacramento, stretch mark camouflage, paramedical tattooing, or a scar cover up tattoo can find this specialized service locally at camoglam beauty inc.®.

And people travel to us from outside the Sacramento area as well.

That’s something I don’t take for granted.
